Tutoring Services and Experience
I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Education from the iTeach Laptop Learning Program at Nipissing University. I graduated from York University with a double major honours degree in Geography and Communication Studies in June 2010. I have tutored students in all areas of the Ontario curriculum in elementary and high school. I completed my Master of Education in 2014.

Each child I tutor has different strengths and weaknesses. It is my job to understand where they are academically, socially, and emotionally to support their learning and achievements. Therefore, I tailor programming to suit YOUR child.

Arrangements for tutoring varies depending on the family. I can come to your home or local library. Older students are encouraged to become familiar with studying in a library environment as they will need to know how to research properly. The library also gives students a neutral place to complete homework undisturbed. Students are expected to come prepared with all necessary books, school supplies, and materials.

My students usually bring their homework with them. I'll go over problem areas, explain the homework, ensure they understand, and we usually complete all the work assigned. I typically do one or two problems with them, and then have them work out a few on their own so I can see were they have questions. I typically do not go ahead in the subject area- it is important for students to learn along with their classmates.
