The Learning Room offers a variety of educational services and programs for students.

Consultation

Consultations are designed for families or organizations (e.g. Child and Family Services) that are in need of support for a child or teen with respect to his/her educational and school experience.

Services Offered During a Consultation:

-Individual Education Plan (IEP) Review, Support, and Recommendations
-Recommendations for Psycho-educational Assessment (If warranted) (Letter/Report)
-Student Advocacy
-Resources and Strategies for Parents
-Resources and Strategies for at School
-Parent Training (e.g. Strategies for homework help, organization, social skills, supporting literacy development etc.)
-Behavioural Strategies for at home and/or the classroom
-Recommendations/strategies for students with school anxiety

Individualized Program

Programs can be designed specifically to suit student needs, including skill building, literacy, math, social skills, improving attention and focus, test preparation, essay/writing development etc.

The Learning Room’s Programs are designed to be skill building and intervention focused to help students develop the necessary ability to tackle new learning problems in the future.
