Tutoring Services and Experience
I am an experienced math teacher and tutor.
I graduated from Queen's University in 2005 with a degree in Math and Philosophy. After graduating with a Bachelor of Education in Math and History from the University of Western Ontario in 2006, I moved to Coventry England where I taught middle and high school math for one year.

From September 2007 - June 2012, I taught and tutored high school math in Ottawa, Ontario. I am currently on a 2 year leave from my teaching position at Lisgar Collegiate Instituted in Ottawa to pursue a Master's in Math Education at UBC.

My basic approach to tutoring is to first try to see what the students understand and then help them build on this foundation. My constructivist approach means that I encourage students to relate the math to their lives and work hard to 'see the math' around them. This approach has been very successful for me in the past as both a teacher and a tutor.
