I’m an experienced English & ESL tutor with a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in text analysis and communication and full certification as an ESL teacher.

I’d be delighted to help you IMPROVE your English skills in:
• Speaking and listening: conversation, interviews, etc.
• Writing: essays, reports, emails, applications, etc.
• Reading and researching: books, articles, newspapers, etc.

We would focus on your specific needs. For example, you may require help in areas such as English conversation, job & professional/business English, academic English, applications & interviews, English exams (IELTS, TOEFL), grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.

I have a broad range of work experience in teaching, research, government, industry, and the arts that I use to provide my students with interesting context and knowledge as they learn English.

I work extremely hard on behalf of my students, who benefit from my years of Canadian experience as an educator, writer, editor, government policy advisor, researcher, software consultant, and dancer.

Some of my students/clients are at beginning levels, while others speak quite well, but want to take it to the next level where they can express themselves fully and easily. Some are comfortable speaking, but require help with their writing. All levels and ages are welcome, and I have students in elementary school, high school, college, and university (undergraduate, master's and PhD). In addition, I work with clients who are already in the work force in areas as varied as construction, engineering, and health care.
