I used to work here, for about one month.

The place was incredibly disorganized. The tutors had to watch over and teach up to four students at once! They advertise it as one-on-one tutoring, but it is false advertising. I don't know what their rates are, but they charge $150 for an assessment.

They were always cutting corners when it came to expenses, and I constantly had to ask for work because they would never update the schedule. It was incredibly disorganized, and the room was incredibly small. In the end they finally replaced me, and they hired a new tutor, hopefully their experience is not as bad as mine.

Many of the children simply cannot improve there because they have to learn with other children of different grades, and subject area. Most of the tutors there do not even teach properly because of the limited amount of time spent with each child. At the end of a one hour session, only about 20 minutes is spent with that child.

This place is not worth your money, and I suggest you look for a tutor someplace else that actually does one-on-one tutoring. if they are going to spend one-third the amount of time on your child, demand for a 60% discount.

They are constantly advertising for hire at McMaster University, and I am going to speak to the career services office to remove their job postings because they are always hiring, then firing staff. No university that cares about its reputation should ever allow themselves to continue advertising this tutoring company, no matter the amount that the Tutor Academy will pay.

I am saying this as a person who has worked there, not a competitor. I am saying this for your own good, and for your child's education.
