Being a native Chinese whose first language is Mandarin, I also hold a bachelor degree in English Literature and have seven years of work experience in linguistic service industry, serving in Mandarin tutoring and English-Mandarin interpretation field. Because of my academic training and professional practice, I fully understand the difference between those two languages and cultures while being competent in Both. That kind of understanding helps me know how to explain and transform the difference for the purpose of mastery of either language while teaching.
I have been tutoring in various subjects since I was 18. Therefore, I am familiar with a teaching-learning relation and good at forming plans and organizing teaching materials.
For most of time during the past seven working years, I was working with English speakers from North America. That makes me confident and comfortable to work with and teach students from that region. I had personally taught an adult student who is from America and worked in Shanghai, China, and customized learning plan and materials specific to his own interest and purpose.
Being responsible is an integral part of my personality. I will try my best to answer any question or help to achieve any object students will have in their mind regarding Mandarin learning.
