Tutoring Services and Experience
Hello! I offer tutoring and editing services for university students in Anthropology and Biology :)
I have a BA in Anthropology and Biology, an MSc in Biological Anthropology, and I am currently completing my PhD in Biological Anthropology at the U of Toronto. I have also taken a number of editing courses at Ryerson (Copy Editing, Proofreading, and Academic Publishing), and have completed the Advanced University Teaching Preparation Certificate offered by the U of Toronto.
I worked as a tutor, teaching assistant, and course instructor for the U of Toronto for 8 years. Most of my tutoring/teaching experience is in the following subjects: paleoanthropology, osteology, comparative primate anatomy, primatology, and archaeology.
In addition to my academic teaching experience, I have 8 years experience in academic publishing, editing manuscripts, papers, and dissertations written by both English and non-native English speakers. I copy edited for the Journal of Human Evolution, the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, and vis-a-vis: Explorations in Anthropology. I have also personally published research in the areas of biological anthropology, archaeology, and zoology.
I love to teach and I take great pride in helping others improve their understanding of a subject and their ability to effectively communicate their knowledge and ideas. I look forward to working with you :)
