I'm double graduated with Masters in Mathematics. I’ve 10+ years teaching experience in various institutes with students, who have different Intelligence quotient, quantitative aptitude and learning methods. I’ve also taught Western undergrad students as a GTA. As we know, mostly students struggle to understand Math. Some of them feel as it's the most boring subject. According to me, there are a couple of reasons. In most cases, they've been taught very poorly. Hence their fundamental concepts remain unclear. Without understanding of basic concepts one cannot pass or enjoy this subject. So, these students fail or get poor marks. They lose their confidence and gradually start detesting this subject. In my opinion, its instructor’s responsibility to understand his student’s learning approach. I present my lesson/lecture in such a way, which not only engages them but also motivate them to explore it on their own.
